CREATIONS BY MARIE ANTOINETTE & EDIE MARIE

Welcome to our Team Blog! Marie Antoinette & Edie Marie have joined together to create a fun place to share our ideas and lives with all of you. We know that our teaming up has been confusing for some of you and we apologize. We will refer to ourselves as Marie Antoinette (the Doll Creator & maker of fabulous items) who lives in Peacock Paradise and Edie Marie (the creator of the posts and story telling on this blog & amateur crafter of many things in my "attic") who lives on Golden Pond. What great fun we have combining our forces!!

Thank you for stopping by to see what's happening in our studios in Peacock Paradise and on Golden Pond!

April, The good and the Bad

April!!! Such a beautiful time, most of it anyway. Its so sad for all the people who are going though terrible floods due to The march and now april floods. We are having floods ourselves. Thank God my house is on high ground but, just a country block its flooded. My neighbor is being flooded. The baracade starts right at my road entrance. Thats how close it is to me. So Alexia's and my prayers go out to all of you who are endanger. Please keep safe and May God bless you all.
April showers do bring flowers that bloom in May... as the great Al Joelson, which by the way is one of my favorite singers of all times and favorite songs, that and the song Beautiful dreamer. Yes I do love the oldies and real oldies...LOL. Everywhere I look its so beautiful. My peacocks all got their new long tails. They are strutting about, calling for mates. My flowers are blooming. We even chanced it, and took out some of the plants that were in the greenhouse. It did turn cool and got down to 42, but I don't belive the ones we took out were hurt.
Since its Springtime , here are some older springtime dolls.
I have been honored to recieved a couple of awards. The first one is from Veronica of http://bumblebearies.blogspot.com/The Sisterhood Award. I am greatly honored because Veronica has ask to adopt me as a sister, how wonderful is that. I never had a sister so I am very touched. Thank you Dear Veronica from the bottom of my heart.I am greedy, because I would love more sisters, so I am going to adopt:
Sherry of http://ediemariesattic.blogspot.com/....She is a very special lady to me. Sweet and lovely. And if you ever get to hear her speak, As I talk to her all the time on the phone, she sounds like an Angel. Her voice is that sweet.
Tracie http://mypetitemaison.blogspot.com/...Another Angel. I would gladly call sister. There are several others, you know who you are... that I adore, but its just to many to put down. Just know that in my heart you are all my sisters.
There is one other I would love to adopt above all things , but that person is a brother not a sister.
Chris of http://www.designsbyck.blogspot.com/...There is not a picture award for you. But I would be honored to adopt you for my baby brother. You have always been so sweet and supportive. I love you dearly.
Here is an award from my newly adopted sister... Sherry of http://ediemariesattic.blogspot.com/
Its the perfect Blend of Friendship Award. We are all a perfect blend and mixsures. You can't do do any better than that, now can you. Thank you Sherry for this award. I appreciate it very much, it came from you.
April is alo a month of renewal so lets all get out there and renew our faith that all will be well with the world. I know this is a trying time for us all. But there is good in this world. We can't let The things that are happening to over shadow that. May God bless all of us!!!
Hugs and Kisses Marie Antionette
PS:I want to thank you all for all your good wishes . I am feeling much better, just a few lingering affects. I'm sorry I could not do the blogging thing much . 3. Your yard is so lovely! I'm glad you are on high ground, thank goodness for that. I feel bad too for those being hurt by Mother Nature and her ferocious Spring this year. No rain where we need it and too much in the other areas.

The peacocks are wonderful! Bet they are enjoying the sunshine and warmer temps. I hear they are good "watchdogs" and will sound the alarm at intruders.

SO GLAD you are feeling better. I guess getting the shots in the bee-hind were worth it. Ow!

Last but no way least, your DOLLS are just fabulous. What a knack you have, everything you create is a vision of loveliness.

  5. Hey Marie (Tony)!
Congratulations on the awards, you so deserve them, Sister. I've always wanted a sister so you've made my day today with passing this on to me as a fellow oldies lover too. I love your plants and especially the peacocks (beautiful photos!). You did a great job of getting your post up. My thoughts and prayers are with Alexia as well, sweetie! I will chat with you soon about your photos and oldies but goodies too! You are one in a million and are an angel yourself.
    Lots of love, Tracie

  8. Hello Toni, It's good to hear that you are doing better. Let's keep that positive line for a while. I mean forever! Those peacocks are really cool! I once stayed in France next to a castle where they held peacocks too, but I thought they were rather noisy (citygirl you know). I hope that yours act as beautiful as they look lol! Love your spring dolls! Have a nice day!

  13. oh my gosh you have peacocks?!!! i adore them! i actually painted an albino peacock like yours a couple of times, and was fascinated when i was commissioned to do it, and sent photos, as i had never seen them before!

to answer your question - i'm going to leave the bits on the dress form as they are. i don't play with it a lot, it shouldn't keep fraying as i have it in a corner out of harm's way. i like the way it is soft, and laquering it would make it shiny and hard. i like that it is disintegrating, i know that is weird, lol!

  14. The peacock is beautiful, I just love them. I hope nobody is affected too badly by the floods, Im on high ground so would not be affected by flooding, it must be devastating for anyone who experiences it.
    Congrats on the award X

First of all, YOUR PEACOCKS ARE AMAZING!! What a lovely home you have, and thank God you are not getting the damage that is running rampant in your community. I know that you are a sweet soul that is praying for your neighbors and helping them out. Your doll vignettes are so pretty! Yes, I agree that the angel I used on my previous post would most definitely make a great doll! Take care sweet lady and glad to hear that you are on the mend! Anita

Your yard is so beautiful! I just love peacocks and you don't see white ones everyday. We spend a lot of time at the arboretum in Arcadia, CA which is full of them! Love your greenhouse too. I hope you had a wonderful Easter! We spent the day with lots of friends and family.

  44. Thank you for stopping by on my blog. :-D All of the fabric that I have is between "almost" a yard and "almost" two yards. They are all cotton or cotton blend. I have so many patterns that I have never used, but I think I may end up having to go pattern shopping to find some very specific to these fabrics (especially the pink/white and the brown floral ones).

BTW, I LOVE your peacocks - especially the white one. I've never seen such! :-D
