CREATIONS BY MARIE ANTOINETTE & EDIE MARIE

Welcome to our Team Blog! Marie Antoinette & Edie Marie have joined together to create a fun place to share our ideas and lives with all of you. We know that our teaming up has been confusing for some of you and we apologize. We will refer to ourselves as Marie Antoinette (the Doll Creator & maker of fabulous items) who lives in Peacock Paradise and Edie Marie (the creator of the posts and story telling on this blog & amateur crafter of many things in my "attic") who lives on Golden Pond. What great fun we have combining our forces!!

Thank you for stopping by to see what's happening in our studios in Peacock Paradise and on Golden Pond!

A Party To Go To...YEA!!!!!

Lets Go To A Party!!!!

You must go to the Marie DE FETE!!! It is given by Gabriella Delworth

Its sure to be the place to be. She is going to have some special things going on...and a givaway.

Please...Please go!!!
Why can't Marie Antoinette be an Angel? She certainly should not have been taken from her children!!! Just because of court life...That wasn't her fault that she was told to dress this way and that. Of course it would go to her head to get new clothes and such....She's a woman for Gods sake. So I made a smaller version of my Marie Antoinette Tree doll (post before this one) but I made Marie an Angel.

This Tree Angel is not as fancy as the other one I made just for me. It was made with whatever I had laying around. She still is about 20 inches tall. The gown colors are off white and light green. She is holding a wreath in her hands and has... shoes, a harp, and a doll around the tree.

Here is a new Stocking wall hang. i wish you could see the glittery sparkle it has.The colors are so pink and mauve. It has Victorian family scenes for the print.

This is one of my redos...I say redo because....I found this plastic horse head at a yard sale for a dollar. Its hair was all matted and it needed cleaning. This is the before picture, but I cleaned it up some before I thought about it.

This is the after...I brushed the mane out, got it as smooth as I could , then rolled it up.I then put glitter all over the horse, I mean I coated this sucker. I attached it to one of my plaques. Combed out the mane and just put a organza bow with a pretty rhinestone and put a rhinestone on the forehead. Added some pink poinsettas around the base. This is what I got.

I want to thank Rattus Scribus of....http://rattusscribus.blogspot.com/ for this beautiful award. Its called the... Kreativ Blogger... award. Isn't it a lovely award. If you don't know....You must go visit his blog. He writes some very informative and funny stories. He is a hoot.

And he is also the hubby of our beloved Anita of Castles and Crowns http://wwwcastlescrownscottages.blogspot.com/

What wonderful people these are.

I want to also thank you for visiting me. I'm so sorry I have not visited much this last couple of weeks. Lots going on here at my home.

I will be starting to put up my Christmas village this week and this takes awhile, so when you leave a comment ...just know I will make my visit back to you. I always love your visits and comments. I would not like to miss out on them.

I want to wish all of you a Happy thanksgiving. Some of us has had alot of problems going on but there is always time to thank the things that do go right...blessings to share. The friends we made this year. Especially the new friends. I know I'm thankful.

  2. The real Marie Antoinette may not be an angel, but her fame or notoriety has survived for so many years, she might as well be an immortal :). I like her. She did what she wanted and had perfectly good taste!

Your doll is superb, Marie. Even more gorgeous when the lights are on. I take that back, it is so well made, she looks great with or without the lights.

  3. Those French got wild and killed that poor silly Marie Antoinette. She was worried about her little doggie not herself, at the end. At least they took pity on the dog.

I love the angel M.A. you made. And the horse!!! What a gorgeous creation.

Toni, I can't wait for that Christmas Village of yours to go up. I loved that video your son made for you last year!!! It was like getting to walk thru the village on a tour.

I cannot wait to see your Christmas village again, it seems only yesterday when I was oohing and aahing up here, time sure flies when you're having fun. So we are old friends already! Have a great Thanksgiving with your family. Take care!

  10. Hi Darlin'!

What a beauty!! I love your Marie Angel and I agree, what a terrible thing that her children were separated from her. She was thrown into that life from birth and married to a man that wanted nothing to do with her so why not SHOP!! From all the tales I've heard it sounded like her children adored her and she loved them. Thanks for making her an angel!!

And that's what you are too, an angel!! I love you! Sherry (the aged one) LOL

  13. You are such a dear, sweet lady, Marie. I think your latest tree doll is gorgeous. Your theatre dolls are every bit as exquisite and then some. I have to admit to a fascination with the lighting you are able to achieve inside these lovely creations.

Can't wait to see what you have created for TADS. Thanks for turning me on to Gabriela's party. She picked a wonderful person to spotlight today. :)

Fairy hugs and butterfly kisses. Hope your evening is nothing short of magical.

  33. Hi there my sweet friend. It was so nice to hear from you : ) It had been a while and I hoped you were doing well.

I loved reading your post and your Marie Angel is beautiful. I also have to tell you how much I loved the Christmas music. Aaron Nevil's Christmas music has to be one of my all time favs!

I have to share with you the memories it brought back to me. My sister Alison (whom I named my daughter after) passed away at age 19. She was born with a genetic illness and we cared for her in my parents home until she went to live with our Lord. When I first heard this album I was away at school and I would miss her terribly. She had a hospital bed in our living room and I would always crawl into bed with her and love on her. She could not speak but I knew by the look on her face that she loved it. I would sing along with the music and stroke her hair and it was a special time. There were two songs on there, one was What a Night, I think...when it would come on I would take her hands and I would swing them to the music. The joy I felt with her in that song will always stay with me. She loved music as a child when she could sing, and music was always something I could connect with her.

At that time she was near the end of her life and she couldn't dance anymore, but we still would while holding on to her hands. I know she loved it too.

I hope you have a wonderful blessed Thanksgiving with your family! Take care, and thanks for letting me share : )

    Hugs ~ Nichole

  40. Sweet Marie~I'm strolling in to catch up and especially to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
It's such a wonderful time to stop and reflect on all those we cherish and are truly grateful for.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to visit and leave feeling inspired!

Even though our Thanksgiving is very small in number, with hubby and son (we don't count the cat cause she doesn't like turkey). We don't scrimp on the menu...from appetizers to desserts with several carb loaded dishes in between! We will be enjoying tryptophan playoffs too!

    Sweet Holiday wishes,
    Sara
