CREATIONS BY MARIE ANTOINETTE & EDIE MARIE

Welcome to our Team Blog! Marie Antoinette & Edie Marie have joined together to create a fun place to share our ideas and lives with all of you. We know that our teaming up has been confusing for some of you and we apologize. We will refer to ourselves as Marie Antoinette (the Doll Creator & maker of fabulous items) who lives in Peacock Paradise and Edie Marie (the creator of the posts and story telling on this blog & amateur crafter of many things in my "attic") who lives on Golden Pond. What great fun we have combining our forces!!

Thank you for stopping by to see what's happening in our studios in Peacock Paradise and on Golden Pond!

  1. Hi Marie,
Oh I love the gardens on your property. Each and every turn is like being at a resort. I adore your yard art and statues. How wonderful to live in such a place. I know you and newly retired hubby have worked very hard. Thanks for the warning!! LOL I would imagine your days are different now and learning to adjust are in order.

I so miss you and love it when you post. You enjoy summer too, the hot weather and your upcoming trip. I will stay in touch dear one.
    Blessings to you always.
    Love you too, Celestina Marie

  5. Love your beautiful "park" Marie!!

Hah....I did it the other way around...I found me a guy 15 years my junior..... I'm retired....and he is still working ... although, having said that ... I'm sure you mean the yard...which is mostly mine to do. But.... as long as I don't have to go out to work as well...I like puttering in my garden. Of course, my yard is not anything like your size...so I have it easy in comparison...

I play out all summer too.... and I've just begun golfing again...so yeh... blogs will be taking a back seat to all the summer stuff. Plenty of months in the winter, especially up here north of the 49th... to hibernate and make bears... and dolls....enjoy your beautiful summer Marie.

  6. Hello Marie! I was so happy to see a post from you! I love all of your gardens, the woods, your greenhouse and gazebo... it looks so calm and serene! Sounds like you and your hubby are super busy, but having fun... you are right, us girls can't retire, even if we don't work outside the home anymore! But that's ok, I'm not complaining... wishing you a beautiful summertime and hope to see more of your home and gardens soon... I will try to call you in several day... xoxo Julie Marie

My husband was very ill but has again made an amazing recovery and is happily working on projects...a blanket chest just finished. A GE MONITOR REFRIGERATOR and more. Get your husband to start kicking out projects it will make retirement easier.Stop by...I always love hearing from you.

  16. Hello ASDA,
I cannot leave you a comment because, you have it set up to where I cannot, but I would like to reply to your comment:

I learned a long time ago that gold or money can't buy you everything you need.
I don't have any Gold or money.Every thing my hubby and I have, we worked hard for 38 yrs to require the few things we have.Hard work made our yard pretty not money or gold..We don't own credit cards so we paid for evrything right off.
We are not Dr's or Lawers or anything of great imporants.Just middle class Americans and proud of it.I hope you did not mean any thing bad with that comment.
    Thank you Marie Antionette

  26. Well. You are impossible to contact!!! You didn't put your return address on the package - AND you don't have your email on your profile. How is a person supposed to THANK YOU for the lovely lovely box of get-well goodies?!?!

They were such a delightful surprise, and cheered me up immensely! You're just a doll for thinking of me - thank you!!!

  27. Hello Marie~My hubby will be 55 in a couple years and we've discussed him retiring when he gets there. I think he'll be (very) bored and I don't see him blogging to while away the hours, lol. Fortunately he works at home so it's pretty leisurely already. I've convinced him when 55 rolls around to start with working less hours and see how that goes (for me tee-hee). Although,I would like him to start painting rosescapes again when his time permitted.

Lets chat about your spacious, serene, surroundings. You've got the perfect spot for a summers retreat. Oh my gosh the Peacocks...they're the perfect piece de resistance.
    Enjoy your R&R sweetie.

    Sweet wishes,
    Sara

  33. Hello Marie~Thanks for strolling in for a visit. I would imagine you and hubs are still taking advantage of the summer weather, like we are.
We only really get two summer months of sunshine... July and August. I've been sitting less and less at the computer and more and more outside enjoying the fountain, birds, picking fruits and veggies with the occasional cooking and baking in between.

Hope to see you soon and I can't wait to hear about your ventures that summer has taken you to.
    Sweet wishes,
    Sara
