We will refer to ourselves as Marie Antoinette (the Doll Creator & maker of fabulous items) who lives in Peacock Paradise and Edie Marie (the creator of the posts and story telling on this blog & amateur crafter of many things in my "attic") who lives on Golden Pond. What great fun we have combining our forces!!

Fall! Yeaaaa! Holidays! Yeaaa! Big Give Away! Yeaaa!

Isn't it wonderful !!! I love the holidays. It always a happy time. What better way than to start it off with a...very Big Give Away. I love give aways.
My give away will be December 1. All you have to do is come by and I will put your name down for the drawing. Please pass the word around. Its going to be a big one friends, so don't miss out on it.

I want to introduce to you my new line of Marie Antoinette Christmas stocking wall hangs. They are about 36 inches long. I have five made so far. I am not a very good embellisher like most of you. So anyone who would like to suggest anything for these or the future ones...Please HELP!!!  Here they are!

Last year, Sandra Evertson sent me a half doll. It took me awhile but I finally made something with it. I decided to make an Art Noveau doll from it.
I painted the doll a victorian type green. I then did her face. You can see the rest of it for your selves. As you are looking at it...LOL...just remember I've never made anything with this type of material. Thank you Sandra. You are a very talented lady and so very sweet.  And thank you for the very sweet note you sent with it.As you see I framed it.

While I was away from blogging,I did redo my Craft room.I did not take any befor pictures I'm afraid, but I will tell you that the room was my daughter Alexia's bed room when she was younger and before she decided to leave her MaMa and Daddy...LOL. This room has never been painted since this house was built.Really! Just plain old off white for over 20 years. Not even new curtains.I did redo her bathroom at one time so you will see pictures of it too.

The Gipson Girl plaque on the wall was a gift from my very good friend Celeste of  Celestina Designs for my birthday. Isn't it just gorgeous, just like her.Thank you Dear.

Can I call it a Studio now???
Ok Friends. I wish you all a Safe a Happy Halloween and I will be posting again before My Christmas Give away.
  May God Bless you Always,
               XXOO Marie Antionette

  6. Good morning precious, thank you for updating me on your brother's condition and yours as well; the stressers of life do force us to try to survive, finding things to do to keep our minds off of things....I will also be praying for your peace of mind and heart. The peace of God is the only saving grace for any of us, whether ill or being the ones witnessing the illness of a loved one. Life is most definitely a journey with different twists and turns, but the road for us all eventually leads us to HIM, who will show us the why must later. For the mean time, stay well yourself, and know that you are loved.

Blessings to you and your family, Anita

  8. Hi Marie,
What a wonderful post. I have had you in my thoughts and prayers everyday and so hope you are doing good and your family is better too.

You always amaze me how much you are doing in spite of the hard times. I love your new stockings. They are simply gorgeous as only you can do. And the doll that Sandra sent you is wonderful. You sure did a fabulous job of creating a gorgeous piece with the doll parts.

Now your studio, oh my gosh how wonderful. I could spend hours in there. You have everthing so neat and tidy and ready to work with. Love the hutch filled with pretties and supplies. Lots of display space for dolls. Having the bathroom right there is fantastic. Love the wall color too.

Your giveaway sounds like it will be very special. I will list it in on my sidebar when you have it up and ready. I know it will be grand!

Miss you and so great to hear from you today and thank you for stopping by my blog and your kind comments. When I called, you were with your brother and your hubby was so nice.

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Halloween my dear friend. Prayers continue for you and yours. God Bless!!
    Love to you, Celestina Marie

  13. Dear Marie,
The craft room is a masterpiece...or studio..I like the sound of that. Love the bath
I love the doll that is displayed on the wall..Wonderful.
Stuff your beautiful stockings with tissue almost to the brim and display for photographs...place something wonderful inside the stocking peeking out at the top like your gorgeous dolls(not for sale but for display only and not included in the sale) Your stockings are great original creations and so nice you could hang them on the wall. Make matching tags to go with them if you have a mind too maybe you did..I am sorry if I did not notice.
My husband is in intensive care with congestive heart failure. Not good. He is stable but will not be home for awile.

    How is your health?
I hope you sell so much you cannot keep up.
Thank you for writing and thinking of me.
You are one of my favorite people...so charming and upbeat and so kind.
    Love and hugs,
    Pat

  21. Hi Marie,

Hearing from you made my day! I see you're still making absolutely beautiful things! Not very good at embellishing? That reminds me of when I was a child and my Aunt Mary would say, "Oh, I'm so embarrassed for y'all to see this house looking so filthy!" And you could literally eat off her shiny floors (and everybody in town knew what a spotless housekeeper she was!).

The half doll is just beautiful, and your studio is wonderful! Love the bathroom too.

Hope our paths cross again very soon.

    Kindest regards,
    Bill

  39. I have somehow missed this post. Your craft room is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE! I will love to have one like this :). Mine is enough only to display the dollhouses and it doubles up as a guest room so I can't craft in there anyway.

I think the doll you bashed is drop dead gorgeous! :):)
